Hero Home Services Community Engagement Focus Areas
Hero shows up around the Twin Cities in a few different ways. We back former military service members and their families, health and wellness causes that matter to our neighbors, sponsor youth sports and recreation, sign on for local festivals and family events that make summer feel like summer, and roll up our sleeves for folks who just need a hand. Here are some of the partners and programs we are proud to support.
Health and Wellness Causes
Hero Home Services partners with Twin Cities nonprofits and supports families navigating illness.
- Make-A-Wish Minnesota: Hero celebrated 6-year-old Za’Nari’s superhero wish at the Mall of America, marking her cancer-free milestone.
- Blood Cancer United: Sponsor of the Carve for a Cure event, supporting with donations to raise awareness and funds for blood cancer.
- Special Olympics MN: Helping children and adults with intellectual disabilities year-round sports training and competitions.
- Military-related organizations: Many of our employees are veterans, and we proudly support and sponsor military causes.
- Ruff Start Rescue: Donations for their new facility to help provide comfort, care, and healing for the many animals that come through their doors.
Youth Sports and Recreation
Hero sponsors youth sports teams and outdoor programs that give Twin Cities kids healthy ways to play and grow. Some of the groups that we support include:
- Dinomights 3v3 youth hockey program
- Blaine Youth Hockey Association
Local Festivals and Community Gatherings
Hero supports the Twin Cities events that bring neighbors together year-round.
- Shakopee Chamber and Visitor Bureau: Strengthening the community by advancing business, tourism, and the economy
- Rhythm On The Rails Summer Fest: We are proud to sponsor this incredible celebration of music and community.
- Lakeville’s Pan-O-Prog: Participating in and sponsoring Pan-O-Prog allows us to celebrate community culture and engagement. It’s a weekend filled with fun, laughter, and local pride.
Holiday Drives and Direct Service
From annual giving drives to hands-on service, Hero technicians and team members show up for Twin Cities families directly.
- Toys for Tots: Hero donates a toy or money for every customer served and runs an onsite employee toy drive each year. This past year, Hero contributed $10,000 to Toys for Tots to spread joy to children in need.
- Habitat for Humanity: Hero helps Habitat for Humanity with hands-on volunteer work, including garage painting.
- Furnace donations: Hero gifts replacement furnaces to families in need.
OUR FLAGSHIP PROGRAM
The Hero Helping Heroes Program
Hero Helping Heroes is our way of giving back to the people who keep Minnesota running. Firefighters, EMS personnel, law enforcement officers, military veterans, healthcare professionals, and teachers carry our communities through hard days. This program returns the favor through free and discounted home services, holiday partnerships, and year-round support.
