Hero came out due to my water heater leaking from a fitting on the top and the technician immediately stated it needed to be replaced. I didn't question this as my water heater was 13 years old. The quote to replace was $5500. I did question this and was ...told the water heater itself was $3700 plus each compression fitting was $45, of which there were 9, plus a day of labor. I have since discovered that the water heater they provided, at the high end of pricing, would normally be $1900 and with all work should have been around $3500. Also, I was to get an energy rebate from Xcel Energy and Hero submitted the paperwork for me and had the rebate sent to Hero. I have now been over 2 weeks trying to get them to send me the rebate money. I feel scammed and taken advantage of. Curious if they would have quoted $5500 to a male homeowner.Read More...
Called me 2 min before they were supposed to be to my house to inform me their electrician was in a company meeting with no ETA. You didn't know there was a meeting when you scheduled my service ??? and then waited till the last minute to reach out. ...I took time off of work , drove 30 minutes back home for nothing. No accountability , no responsibility, no respect. Do I now get the 89 dollars you were going to charge me ? Never again.
