Job Summary:  

At Hero our Drain Install Apprentice’s primary goal is to assist in the troubleshooting, installations, repairs, and maintenance of residential drain systems. This individual will meet or exceed customer’s expectations to ensure a world class customer experience by displaying amazing craftsmanship.

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to undertake in on-the-job training under a lead drain installer to improve knowledge and skills, meeting or surpassing set goals and expectations.

Hours: 

  • 7am – 4pm, end times vary based on completion of work and business needs
  • Must be flexible in working extended hours including evenings and weekends based on business volume and needs
  • Overtime is offered by management when available, and at times may be required

Essential Job Duties: 

  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, repair and service of drain systems in a residential setting
  • Follow direction from jobsite lead
  • Complete work in a timely manner while maintaining quality service and craftmanship
  • Prepare lining materials to be used for future installation
  • Assist and complete drain cleaning calls if needed
  • Adhere to Hero safety standards while driving and on jobsites
  • Adhere to Hero driving policy
  • Maintain company provided vehicle and inventory of parts, fixtures, tools and shop equipment
  • Deliver materials and equipment from warehouse to jobsites on time

Job requirements:

  • Demonstrates Hero core values at a high level (T.R.U.E.)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal record
  • Must be able to regularly lift 50+ pounds
  • Able to communicate professionally, clearly and concisely with other team members, management, and customers
  • Demonstrates the ability to learn residential drain system repair
  • Must be highly detailed and demonstrate the ability to follow through
  • Participate actively in all trainings, meetings, classes, and company events
  • Highly motivated, flexible and great attitude on life
  • On time and prepared to work before the scheduled start time

Pay & Incentives: 

  • 35-45 hours per week based on hourly pay as negotiated upon hire
  • Pay increases are given based upon performance, not based on time employed with company
