A Bookkeeper at Hero is responsible for manage the accounts payable and receivable processes within the company and to support the Accounting Team. Candidates who will thrive in this role enjoy the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and data entry. They will also be comfortable at manipulating data in Excel, taking on new tasks and being independent just as well as being a strong collaborator.

Schedule
  • Schedule can be set for an 8-hour day between 6:00 am – 7:30 am and 2:30 pm – 4:00 pm

Essential Job Duties
  • Process Accounts Receivable transactions including daily deposit, reviewing invoices, and payments
  • Enter Accounts Payable transactions including incoming bills, online transactions, and credit card transactions
  • Maintain streamlined accounting inbox, vendor files, and accurate data imports
  • Assist with weekly data entry and reconciling of job costing spreadsheets
  • Prepare cashflow reporting, weekly check run, and month end account reconciliations

Qualifications
  • Demonstrates Hero core values at a high level (T.R.U.E.)
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving and criminal record
  • 2-year degree or equivalent experience
  • 1+ years of experience working in accounting
  • Basic to intermediate experience in QuickBooks
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate experience in Microsoft Excel
  • Able to communicate professionally, clearly, and concisely
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail
  • Highly motivated, flexible, and great attitude on life
  • Outgoing personality that blends well with a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
  • Independent work ethic with an ability to collaborate within a team
  • On time and prepared to work before the scheduled start time
