Your kitchen sink takes a beating. From food scraps to intense sauces, plates and silverware, it’s no wonder why it looks dirty and worn out sometimes. Well, there’s hope! With a few simple cleaning processes, you can have that stainless steel sink looking good as new!
Empty the sink. This includes removing cups, plates, and utensils. Then give it a good rinse with hot water.
While damp, sprinkle baking soda all over the sink. Try your best to get all four walls, or sides of the sink, too!
Scrub the entire sink with the soft side of a sponge. You might notice that the damp baking soda mixture turns into a paste-like substance. This is good. It will help remove caked-on debris as the baking soda will act as a mild abrasive.
Cut a lemon in half and use it like a sponge to scrub the whole inside of the sink. Then give it a good rinse to wash away the baking soda and lemon juice.
Pour some distilled white vinegar into a spray bottle and spray the inside of the sink. Then use a clean cloth to buff.
Finally, pour some olive oil onto a cloth and wipe down the sink to give it a nice shine. Wipe away any excess and voila! Good as new!
